CCB Names Magdalena Dye as Recipient of Spirit of CCB Community Service Award

Cattaraugus County Bank (CCB) is pleased to announce that Magdalena (Margie) Dye, Assistant Vice President, Area Retail Manager, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Spirit of CCB Community Service Award. This distinction recognizes employees who exemplify dedication to community, leadership, and service in keeping with CCB’s guiding principle: “Where Community Counts.”
Dye has made significant contributions to the communities served by CCB through a wide breadth of volunteer service and leadership roles. She is an active member of the Dunkirk-Fredonia Rotary, and on the board and fundraising committee (including serving as chair) for the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County. She sits on the board and finance committee of The Waterfront Foundation, participates as a voting member of the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation, and serves on both the board and loan committee of Chautauqua Opportunities Inc. (C.O.D.I.). Dye also contributes as a board member of CHRIC (Chautauqua Home Rehabilitation & Improvement Corporation) and is involved in the Dunkirk-Fredonia Chamber of Commerce, where she chairs the annual Hops and Pops event. She is an affiliate member of the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Board of Realtors, and volunteers regularly for fundraisers and parish events with the Catholic parishes in Dunkirk and Fredonia.
Within CCB, Dye is celebrated not only for her strong work ethic and leadership but also for her willingness to support other departments when needed, always modeling the values that underpin the bank’s long legacy. Since its founding in 1902, CCB has stood as a locally owned and operated independent bank.
“Margie’s contributions across so many community organizations reflect precisely what makes CCB unique,” said Mike Wimer, President & CEO of CCB. “Her service, her leadership, and her unhesitating readiness to help wherever needed make her a perfect choice for this award. The Spirit of CCB Community Service Award is meant to honor employees whose personal commitment to service reinforces that heritage. We are honored to recognize her with this well-deserved distinction.”
“Margie is an incredible example of how one person can make a difference not only within CCB but throughout the broader community,” said Donna Prince, CCB Vice President, Retail Banking. “Her leadership, compassion, and commitment to service inspire those around her and make her a true role model for all of us at CCB.”
